Registration

Registering for No Reason Comics may seem like a silly thing to do, but to be honest, silly is what we do here. Registering and becoming an official ‘Reader’ of No Reason doesn’t take a lot of effort, nor does it require a huge amount of information or risk.

Registering allows us to connect a little more with our readership, not to mention helps us figure out how many of you are really reading us. As things grow with this site, there will be access to more and more things for our ‘readers’.

Registering will allow you access to several things:

• Ability to comment on the comics
• Ability to post in the forums
• Sign up to be notified when new comics are posted
• Access to extra No Reason Stuff
• First to know on New Projects
• And being part of a growing community of silly people

Subscribing to Comic Notification List

Because No Reason is written, drawn and created by two guys that still have ‘day jobs’ to pay the rent, our update schedule is a little wonky. We ALWAYS put up a new comic on Tuesdays and Fridays, but because of the interference of our paying jobs, it’s not always right away. We do our best, we do. To offset this, we have a handy ‘Subscription’ option for registered users.

To Subscribe:

1. Once Registered, Log in to your Dashboard
2. Click on ‘Subscriptions’ (in the top navigation)
3. Follow the instructions on this page.

Please Note: The only category you should have checked is ‘Comics!’ as that’s the category we use to denote all of the comics. The other categories are for story line organization and differentiation from the News we post from time to time. So if you ONLY want to see an email from us when a comic is posted, make sure that ‘Comics!’ is the only thing checked.

To To Unsubscribe:

1. Log in to your Dashboard
2. Click on ‘Subscriptions’ (in the top navigation)
3. Make sure all of the categories, including ‘automatically sign up for new categories’ is unchecked.

Subscribing to Comments

Another neat little feature we’ve added is the ability to subscribe to comments. What this will allow you to do is post a comment on a particular comic, and if someone replies or adds their own two cents, you’ll be notified. Just check the little box at the bottom of the comment field that says ‘Notify me of…’ and it will send you an email when other people comment, and about how to manage the subscriptions to comments, like unsubscribing.

A planned upgrade to this is to synchronize the comments with particular forum topics, so that discussions about particular comics and posts can be carried on both in the forums and on the comment field simultaneously. Neat, eh?

Subscribing to RSS Feeds

We have an RSS feed? Neat!

Oh, you want to know how to work it? So would I. Check your browsers help file, cause I don’t know.

Avatars (Gravatars)

No Reason employs the use of ‘Gravatars’ for your little pictures beside your comments and in the forums. Getting a gravatar is easy. Gravatars (Globally Recognized Avatars) use your email address and a little bit of code on our end to keep your Gravatar updated - so you can change it as much as you like from there!

1. Go to Gravatar.com and Sign up
2. Follow their easy instructions
3. Wait an hour or two before going swimming… I mean, checking back on the site. Or simply refresh the browser a few times. In a few moments you should see your gravatar!

Submitting Fan Art

Did you do some fan art? We want to see it, and so does everyone else! simply submit your artwork to admin AT noreasoncomics DOT com and we’ll post it in the ‘extras’ section.
