So, the site is pretty much back up and running, and while there is still a few odds and ends to still get together (namely the improved cast page I’ve been promising for months), We now have Avatars. That’s right… from back when we were doing the site redesign, I’ve finally gotten around to putting together the first round of Avatars. Now, keep that in mind - this is only the first round - every couple of months or so, We’ll troll back through the so-called artwork we’ve done here at No Reason and create another couple of these little thingies you can use. You’ll find them under the ‘Extras’ tab at the top.

You can use them for MSN, for your AIM or livejournal - heck, anything you want to use them for - even as your gravatars here on the site. (That still requires you to register and sign up over there). If you’re nice, you might put a link to us on your website if you do so - but there’s no requirement to do so. These are free.

The only stipulation to this little provision for you, faithful readers, is membership. Like the rest of our forthcoming ‘extra’ content, only registered users will be able to access it. So, you can try and get your way in over here, but you’ll find the way solidly blocked until you decide to honor us with your web handle and name.

And just so you know - there’s like 80 of them.

Tardiness Does Not Equal Truancy

Hey-lo Faithful Readers!

Jamie here to put a few things to bed here. I realize that the last couple of updates have been… well, late. And those of you who’ve been with us since the beginning know how much I beat myself up for it when it happens. So here comes the apology:

I’m sorry. It’s totally my fault. While Murph has been diligently attempting to build us a script buffer, I have been totally flailing in attempting to keep up with his pace. I’ve been kept pretty busy these last few weeks, and I think I’ve kind of burned myself out a bit.

Rest assured though, with the momentous occasion of my brothers nuptials behind us now, I’m redoubling my efforts to get us back on track. I’ve adjusted the ‘next strip’ bars to reflect where I’m at for Friday’s offering. It will be up on time tonight, come hell or high water.

A couple of things of note:

I noticed the comment about the forums - if you’re logged into the site, you should be able to log into the forums. I’m going to double check the settings after I finish this posting and make sure everyone can start a new topic - and I love the idea of people telling us about their custom avatars and icons there. If you’d like them included in the exclusive collection, then feel free to email them to me and I’ll throw them up as soon as is humanly possible. I can’t tell you how much it pleases me that you folks have enough of an interest in our little random assortment here that you’d go to the lengths of scraping our site. :)

There’s a couple of little side projects that we’ve begun, some as part or linked to the No Reason name, of which I’m not really going to say much more about - but you should definitely keep your eyes peeled for little changes and things to the site. Just a heads up. One of the projects currently in development as a seperate entity is my work starting on illustrating a set of Youth Poetry, done by my good friend Mark Smith, a.k.a Bertie Moons. Feel free to go over and check it out.

That being said, in respect to the No Reason site, there are still a number of areas of content we have yet to fill in - and I’m setting a target of the end of November to have that completed. The list is as follows:

  • Cast Page
  • New Wallpapers
  • Forum topic with proposals for T-shirt Designs

Also, in the next couple of days we’ll be offering up an opportunity to order a second edition of No Reason #0. Those of you that already bought, don’t worry, we’re not going to make you buy the same thing twice with a different cover. With the success and total sellout of the first run, we feel it might be prudent to do another run and give you folks that were a little slow on the mouse click to get your copy.

Now, here’s the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time:

I’m tired of writing now.
