Want to draw your very own No Reason Comics strip? Sweet!
We want to thank you in advance – knowing that you’re a fan of our work, so much so that you’d pay homage to our flatulent humor by applying your own creative talents to produce something to us is nothing short of an honor. For us.
The first thing you may need is the template that Dan Simon uses to draw the comic. You don’t have to use it, but it’s good for keeping within a certain guideline. Beyond sizing, there’s only a few things you need to know as far as specs go, but beyond that – whatever you want to do is up to you!
- Files must be done at a printable 300dpi, and saved down for web at 72dpi.
- Comics can be any height, and stacked or composed to any size you like – but the final width must be no wider than 850px.
- Files for upload can be submitted (or will be resaved) in PNG format. We ask that you leave everything between the frames transparent, but it’s not a requirement.
- The phrase © noreasoncomics.com must appear somewhere legibly on the comic. Please inlcude your own name(s) and web address. We’ll be sure to link to you where ever we put it up.
Every strip will find a place somewhere on the No Reason site. Those that we feel are a cut above might be selected to run during anniversary celebrations from September 2011 on annually, to run as part of the official front page on our site, and may be selected to be published in relevant collections. Other works of merit will be given a place of honor in a gallery that will showcase your great works, with releases in groups as we gather them.
