Some nights, there just isn’t a thought in my head worth writing down.
I’m sure there are those out there that think that should read “every night,” but I digress.
I saw something in the paper (read: RSS reader) that certainly filled me with hope and excitement though. Apparently, Arrested Development is making a comeback.
While nothing is set in stone, and the show has had it’s share of rumoured returns over the years, I can’t help but get excited about it. Arreste Development is one of the wittiest shows I’ve ever seen. It’s a show in which the comedy is delightfully subtle. I think I’ve ploughed through the 3 seasons a dozen times, and each time I catch a quick joke or prop that I hadn’t noticed before.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but I find so much of what is on TV these days to be bland repetition of the same old stuff, with a few glaring exceptions. In all honesty, if it wasn’t for sports and A&E (and someone’s love and devotion to Grey’s Anatomy) I’d probably cancel the TV service I have altogether. But more Arrested Development? That’s worth the cost of a cable bill.
Of course, the show now rests on a delicate precipice. It’s in a situation where it never sucked. New episodes would bring possibility of sucking. Again though, I’d say it’s worth the risk to get one more Frozen Banana.
