Apparently it’s nighttime again. I wouldn’t really know because I’ve been asleep for the better part of the last day.
Yep, it was that time of year again, known to the world as Fan Expo. A wonderful Comic/Sci-Fi/Anime/Horror/Gaming show in my old hometown of Toronto. So along with all the cool things at the show, I get to see some old friends and have a great time in the city that shaped me. And believe me, I did both in spades.
So, as a result I’ve spent most of today on the couch, catching up on e-mail, napping and taking in new episodes of The First 48. But then I made a… discovery.
On the Biography channel, there is a show called Shatner’s Raw Nerve.
It is a talk show in which William Shatner, Captain Kirk himself, interviews fellow celebrities in an “Inside The Actor’s Studio” setting, and it is the most bizzarre and fascinating thing I’ve ever seen. I honestly thought I was watching an SNL sketch as he spoke with Whoopi Goldberg about her horses, and the gender role of masculinity in her relationships.
Check the show out, because it is amazingly weird as only Shatner can deliver. In the meantime, I’ll try to be more awake by Wednesday, but no promises.
