It’s been a great weekend, in which I saw Fireworks and the Green Lantern, so I don’t know what more could be asked. I’ll be going a bit more in-depth on the movie on this week’s Watchtower (once Donnie has seen it) but I will say this: Don’t believe the hype.

And by that I mean, don’t believe the negative hype that cranky reviewers and bitter comic fans are spewing. This movie is Awesome.

But more on that later, as the weekend is not over and there is still much to do!

As I sit here in my skivvies waiting for my better half to get ready for the impending nuptials of the man known to the world as Becker02, I can’t help but wonder a few things.

While I am a veteran of matrimonial festivities, but this will in fact be the first Jewish wedding that I am attending. Will there be latkes? Should I bring my own Kippah, or be assigned one at the door? In the event of latkes, how many is too many? During the part where we lift them on chairs, is it ok to laugh if they fall? If he can’t break the glass can I heckle? And what of the latkes? WHAT OF THE LATKES?!?!

It’s all a new experience for me, and I must say I couldn’t be happier to see it unfolding for two people who love each other as deeply as these two do.

So, let us all raise a glass and shout Mahzel Tov!

(That’s right one, yeah? Mahzel Tov?)

To Becker and Paige!!
