All I can say is there is no reason to blame the dog if the dog’s just as proud of it as you are.
Noxious gases aside though, I’m currently preparing for yet another whirlwind trip to the city known as Toronto. This one is kind of neat though. A few months back, myself and my Watchtower co-host were asked to be presenters at this year’s Constellation Awards. They are the Canadian Sci-Fi awards, and are part of this weekend’s Polaris Convention.
Normally, the thought of spending 5 hours in the car cruising down the boring stretch of nothing we call The 401 would not be something I was looking forward to. This time though, since I’m going to be doing something pretty cool, and experiencing a whole new kind of Convention, I’m a little excited. It’s no San Diego Comicon, but it’ll do. If you happen to be at Polaris or The Constellations, do say hello won’t you?
In other news, in preparation for The 4th Wall’s big Scott Pilgrim Vol.6 Release Party, @rzebram and myself have been testing out the various incarnations of Streetfighter for the SNES. It’s such a trip to play these older games I remember from childhood. Especially since they are so simple, I’m actually kinda good at them. After sucking for so long at Halo, it’s nice to be a video game winner for once.
Also, with regards to Scott Pilgrim, I can tell you that I have read Volume 6. Legally, I’m not allowed to sell it until 12:01am on July 20th, but that doesn’t mean I can’t read it and tell you that it’s awesome. It’s the perfect bookend to the story, and the best part is even though it’s come out amongst huge publicity for the movie version, it still retains the fun, innocent vibe and feeling of all the Scott Pilgrim books.
