So there’s a new Baby on the scene. No, before a lot of people freak out, it’s not mine. some good friends of mine welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world this week. Mother and Child are doing well, and I imagine that Dad is trying desperately to teach the wee lad how to use an iPhone. I haven’t met the little tyke yet, but I’m looking forward to it!

In other, non-life changing news, I believe that this Sunday is a bit of a special day featuring a small sporting event called THE SUPERBOWL! The only down side to the Superbowl is that when it’s over, we are the longest period of time away from the start of the new NFL season.

This year, I have been promised some of Becker’s World Famous Nachos, and a healthy smattering of other foods that will deem to be terrible for me. The Superbowl is one of those times where any attempts to eat healthy are immediately tossed aside, and gluttony prevails.

And this year, for those wondering, I will be throwing my oft-coveted support firmly behind the New Orleans Saints. With no Patriots representing in the big game, it’s time to fall back on my Second team and cheer them to glory. And it’s not just because they had a star player named “Deuce.” They are a great team, and would be a very deserving Superbowl champion. Either way, I think it’s going to be one hell of a game.

For now though, off to Toys R Us!!
