Well, the good news is that after 4 days, I’m finally starting to recover from the Metallica show. It’s crazy how sore and stiff I’ve been since the concert! I know that I’m getting a bit older, but I don’t think I’m so much more out of shape now. I think that it’s simple that I’m out of practice at going out. Yeah, that sound good, I’ll convince myself of that.

In a totally unrelated story, I am currently watching Australian Gladiators on GameTV. It’s just as awesome as its American counterpart, and the differences are good ones. I especially like the event “Sumo Ball” in which the Gladiator and the Competitor are holding on to opposite sides of a giant ball, trying to push the other off of a platform.

I have to say though, the Australian Eliminator just doesn’t look as hard as the American one. Both competitors seem to breeze through it, which makes for a tight race, but not a terribly challenging one. They have many of the same elements, including a dreaded Travellator. The funny thing is that the Australians just kinda, y’know, run up it. The Americans always seem to stumble and fall. Strange.

The Australian Gladiators are terrifying though. There are no pretty ones like on the American show. No, these guys and gals are TOUGH. On events like Gauntlet they lay a beatdown on the competitors.

Well, that’s a lot more than what I originally planned to say about Australian Gladiators, but clearly it made an impression on me. This is what happens when the Patriots have a bye week. My attentions drift…
