An excellent design choice, indeed. I couldn’t agree more. I sometimes wonder what things would be like if He had gone in another direction… squares for example, but then I push those thoughts out of my mind. It’s a dark place and I don’t like to go there. Perfection has been achieved, so there’s no reason to trouble one’s self with “What if’s.”
So I did promise you guys some juicy details from the Bachelor Party that I attended on the weekend. It was one rip-snortin’ good time, an apt send-off to one of my good friends, and the best part of it all? I got to see Star Trek again.
That’s right, all my friend wanted for his party was to get together a few of his pals, see Star Trek, and grab a few drinks afterwards. It ballooned a bit, and by the end there was about 30 of us, but it was a great night.
I have never really understood the “classic” Bachelor Party. I am pretty bored by strippers, and I guess I’m old enough now that most forms of debauchery just seem annoying to me. This weekend’s party was one of the best that I’ve been too because it was actually about my friend and his impending marriage. It actually made me want to go to his wedding (which is actually a pretty big step for me). It wasn’t about who could act the craziest or what kind of trouble and embarrassment we could get him into. It was just a fun, relaxing time.
I don’t mean to judge those that do go all out for these things (Jamie’s brother’s party was one that I’m pretty sure he will never fully recover from) its just not my style. I was much happier hanging out with some cool dudes and seeing Star Trek again, which I am happy to report is even better the 3rd time around.
May we hope and pray to He Who Blessed Us With The Boobies that Transformers 2 is just as good.
