Art imitating life, imitating art, imitating an enraged Southworth. Incidentally, Paul’s been reading, so hopefully he’s enjoying the central focus he’s taken in our world. So far no legal ramifications have come our way, so I feel safe in continuing this thing through to its inevitable conclusion.

Hey, on an entirely different note, X-Men Origins: Wolverine comes out this weekend. I am of two minds about this movie. First off, I should say that I am the Fanboy that Fanboys hate. I’ll sit through any piece of crap that involves a character I love because I just think it’s cool to see Daredevil, or Punisher, or Wolverine up on the big screen. I like superheroes, and will watch them in anything.

When I first saw Wolverine though, I was really taken aback by some of the glaring flaws in the movie. I don’t mean Fanboy whining about character names or costumes or crap like that. I mean in the story. There are things that happen in the movie that, to me, just seem like sloppy filmmaking.

Upon a second viewing though, I have to say. It grew on me. I was able to put some of the issues I had with it aside, and in the end it’s a decent blowing-stuff-up action flick. Is Wolverine as good as X-men, or even X2? No, not by a long shot. But it’s a fun flick that if you don’t take it too seriously, can easily be enjoyed on a summer Friday night.

Anyway, on to other things! I want to mention again that it’s Free Comic Book Day on Saturday, so don’t forget to stop by your local comic shop and pick up some free goodies! And if your local shop happens to be Image Collections at 181 Queen St South in Mississauga, be sure to swing by our table and buy copy of No Reason #0! You can even have it signed by us! We’ll be there most of the day, and it’s going to be a blast!

Oh yeah, I kinda bought one of these on the weekend. My life feels much more complete now that I own it.
