Not A Care In The World

Yeah, this is easily my favourite strip of this story so far. I’m sure anyone with a little brother can relate, and also anyone who’s done a long car trip. You know the elation of finally arriving at your destination, and any hiccups or bumps along the way are instantly forgotten because you are just so happy to be there. Smooth sailing, indeed.

OK, so I don’t think I’ve told you all recently, but I’m in love. That’s right, 100% totally in love… with Windows Movie Maker. It’s so much fun to play with, and so easy to use! I mean, I won’t be making any Oscar-winners with it anytime soon, but I was able to cobble together a really funny Mini-Documentary about, well, what I did on the weekend.

TorontoCON was held here in the Big City, so we hit the ATM’s and made our way down there. Some really cool guests were in town; Steve Epting (Captain America), Richard Isanove (The Dark Tower), and Todd Nauck (Obama/Spider-Man) just to name a few.

Good Buddy Lar and trusty Gal Pal Val joined us for the day, and there were some real finds I must say. Indiana Jones and Simpsons figures were on sale for a Buck! Raiders of The Lost Ark Indy and Officer Lou are currently hanging out on my desk, but that doesn’t compare to the comic finds. The little Documentary I made features some of the best (and worst) of what the con had to offer, so instead of telling you about it now, I’ll upload the video when it’s ready so you can see for yourself. It’s worth it, trust me.

Just so I’m not leaving you empty-handed though, I talked a couple weeks ago about seeing one of my favourite bands, Lucero. Well I had my trusty Flip-cam (my second love, next to Windows Movie Maker) and was able to capture some of the music and madness. I’ll warn ahead that there is some “bad” language, but nothing y’all can’t handle. Enjoy!!

If you ever wanted to do more sophisticated video editing, you guys could try out Sony Vegas. It’s not free, but it’s really simple to use.

Sorry bro, you lost me at “not free.”
