It’s true, it is his birthday rather soonish, but what makes matters worse (and our association that much creepier) is that my birthday is a mere days after his. So I figured that it would be best not to do something that there was a good chance he’d remember to retaliate against.

Hey! I have new(ish) music for you guys! If you haven’t checked out The Hold Steady, I highly recommend it. Their latest album is called “Stay Positive” and its pretty rad, but the real gem is their 2007 record “Boys and Girls In America.” Its phenomenal sing along bar-rock at its best, and be sure to check out the track “First Night.” Amazing stuff, absolutely amazing.

Aside from that, I’ll be honest. I ain’t got much. So here are a few notes from the last couple weeks:

- FLIP cameras are more fun than should be allowed.
- You are going to see some VERY cool things from No Reason this spring and summer.
- I couldn’t think of something good to give up for Lent, so I’m giving up Giving Up. That’s not as funny as it sounds. By that I mean I am going to try harder, and follow through on things as opposed to letting them fall by the wayside.
- “Pierogie Pie” might be the greatest dish ever invented for human consumption.
- I might be in the minority, but I will miss “ER” when the series ends in 5 weeks.
- I just realised that I’ve been sitting with my headphones on for the last 20 minutes, and haven’t pushed “play” on iTunes.

It’s definitely time for bed.

In closing, and to bring this full circle, I would like to wish my cohort and friend a Happy Birthday. He is so old; you see that I might not get to do it many more times. He’s still one of my favourite people in the world, even though I spend most of my waking hours plotting his violently scatological undoing. Happy Birthday, Old Man, keep up the good work.
