Sometimes the more subtle measures are the ones that are most effective. For example, Jamie has recently discovered a new game. When he doesn’t want to talk to people, he responds only in “LOLspeak.”

So, entering a room, I’ll say: “Hey Man, how’s it going?”
To which he responds: “LOLz! I campz n ur baze! Pew Pew! ROLF!! PWND!”

By the time my sight has returned, and I am no longer blind with rage, he’s gone. It’s great, let me tell you.

Good news for us comic book fans! It looks like the release of the Watchmen movie is going forward! Yay! I’ve been re-reading the book in anticipation of this flick, and I’m stoked that a resolution has been reached. Don’t know what I’m talking about? In other comic news, if you were one of the people who got their hands on the first printing of Amazing Spider-Man #583, let me just say screw you. While it was pretty cool to see people lining up outside comic stores before they opened in order to get a copy of this historic book, it sickened me that shops were jacking up the price almost 1000%. The worst of it was later in the day when I saw copies on eBay going for upwards of $300.

This is gouging at its worst and it wrecks it for those of us who love collecting comics. Like Superman #75, Spawn #1 and most of anything Marvel put out in the late 90’s, Spider-Man #583 is headed for the “Forever Worthless” pile do to huge amounts of overprinting, thanks to people driving up demand, looking to make a quick buck on the turnaround.
