Bee’s Knees

Bee’s Knees

And to think, we almost lost this little gem in the archives! I feel the world is richer for having learned the secret origins of The Bear in question. Also, it’s a pretty stern warnings about the true motivations of bees. I think they hate us so much because they feel so useless in their own lives. Truly, I think bees could use a little more Oprah, or at least Dr. Phil.

So you know what this weekend is? CONVENTION WEEKEND!!!

Hurray! I’m so excited for the Paradise Toronto Comicon, for three very big reasons:

1.) We are going to be unveiling this summer’s t-shirt design! Last year’s “Steve Rogers is Not Dead” shirt sold out, and we can only hope for the same performance from this years T! It invades the Paradise Con this weekend… uh, secretly. Kinda. Ok, poor allusion, moving on.

2.) Dan and Myself are going to be participating in the Web Comics: the Future of the Medium? panel at 2pm in the OAK ROOM. Other people on the panel are Danielle Corsetto, Rob Coughler and Transmission-X. We’ll share the do’s and don’t s of webcomics and how to best use the web to get your foot in the door. The panel starts at 2pm, so be there early to ensure seating!!

3.) Finally, we at No Reason Comics have been sitting on some news about our little company for a couple of months now, and have decided that Paradise Comicon is the perfect place to announce it! It’s going to be huge, and change the face of what we’re doing here, so I’m so excited! I’m telling you pages and staples can barely contain it!!!

So for those reasons, as well as the fact I get to hang out with two of my best buds, Dan and Donnie all weekend, I am practically shaking with anticipation. The Paradise Toronto Comicon is on at the Holiday Inn on King St here in Toronto, and costs a measly $15 to get in. Trust me, if you like comics, its $15 very well spent.

Oh, and I’m going to a special IMAX screening of The Dark Knight on Monday.

Life is good .
