And with this wondrous tome, Boob Month 2008 draws to a close. It’s a wonderful time of the year, and frankly I think it should be celebrated all year round, but for now I’ll take it one month at a time. What’s up next for us? Well, you’ll just have to stick around and find out.
So I finished watching Season 7 of Buffy The Vampire Slayer tonight. It was the last season, and it did not disappoint, right up to the end. What’s great is that Joss Whedon’s Buffy: Season 8 comics are picking right where Season 7 left off, so it’s over, but it’s not over. Whedon really is brilliant in the way that he can craft not just characters, but whole universes. His characters aren’t anything to sneeze at either, mind you. What he did over 7 seasons with Spike alone was an incredible trip.
This weekend is a big Convention in Chicago called Wizard World. I sincerely hope that one day we’ll be able to attend all of these great gatherings across the world. It’s funny because I have never really had the travel bug, but when it comes to conventions I am willing to pack up and go anywhere the ol’ wallet will let me.
On a random note (like, more random than my usual notes) I can’t wait for football to start up again. I’ve been enjoying the Euro, but every time some calls it football I start salivating at the thought of a classic gridiron duel. I think it’s the fanaticism of the fans. Only world-level soccer has the same kind of dedicated fans that the NFL does. Either way, the finals of the Euro this weekend are going to be a huge deal in this city, and we can expect celebrations to go long into the night no matter who wins.
All right, I must split. I still have a few of last week’s comics to get through before I dig into this week’s comics. And to think, this was a light week…
