If only, right? Upon hearing that Clint has announced his retirement, I was more than a little bummed. I was really hoping hollywood would get around to doing a sequel to one of my favourite flicks of all time, In The Line of Fire. But such is life. I guess this only means one thing: It’s up to me to write, direct, produce and star in “In The Line of Fire 2: Line Harder.” It’ll be a daunting task, but If Sly can do it, I don’t see how I can’t.

To bigger and better things. THE SUPERBOWL!!! It’s a special time of year that is akin only to Christmas or my birthday, and it’s especially exciting this year because my boys in blue, The New England Patriots are facing off against the upstart young New York Giants. It should be a great game, the Giants have been exceeding expectations and the Pats are on the road to history. Based solely on the fact that each team has a lot to prove, this should be one hell of a matchup. I don’t like to count my chickens before they hatch, but the Pats are heavily favoured, and I really hope they can cap off their Perfect Season.

More news on the Facebook front! We are over 200 members in the group (which blows my mond every time I think about it) so I’m wondering; Is it time to make a facebook “page” for No Reason. The page vs the group is simply that people not on facebook can get on the page, and the people with facebook get to become a “fan of” No Reason. Either way, the group will remain open and flowing, but as always, we are looking to connect with as many people as we can, so this might be an option. Thoughts?

Finally, I was lucky enough to go check out a REALLY special show on Wednesday night. DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist came to town and performed their composition “The Hard Sell” live. It was incredible to watch, they had 8 turntables, 4 mixers, and 2 guitar effects rigs, and they did all the cuts, loops and samples live. The really cool part was that it was done using only 45rpm records. It was a once in a lifetime show, and it was incredible. I was so lucky to have gotten to see it thanks to my good friend Sugar Mike who had the foresight to grab tix back in the fall, because the show was way sold out. If you can find an MP3 of some of the DJ Shadow/Cut Chemist stuff, I would highly reccomend it.

All right, I gotta start praying to the Football Gods. GO Pats GO!!!

Check-Checking out my melody,

-MM
