Facebook.
Is there anything it can’t do?
Since signing on to this lovely service, I’ve re-connected with old friends, shared hundreds of photos, joined groups and communities. All told had a great old time. Of course, I’ve also been attacked by zombies, inundated with events I will never attend and been virtually crushed by a “news-feed.” But the good always comes with the bad.
OK, there is a lot to get to, so I wont take up any more time espousing the virtues of Facebook. First off, the word is in! I am pleased to announce that as of Jan 1st, 2008 we will have a brand spanking new No Reason HQ. I’m calling it HQ 2.0, and it’s a great apartment in an incredible neighborhood, and if I could move in tomorrow, I would. Just a few more sleeps though. At any rate, the details and excitement of moving will assuredly find their way into these comic tomes so stay tuned for hilarity, and at the very least, heavy lifting.
Second, I know that Jamie has already posted about this in the “Notes” section, but I think it’s important enough to draw some attention too. Now, I could paraphrase, and write it all out again, but let’s be honest; that doesn’t sound like something I’d do, does it? So I’ll crib from Jamie’s note. Here’s the deal:
“No Reason runs on WordPress Mu and Comicpress, and both have (more or less) recently released upgrades that will help the performance of the No Reason Comics website, so in the coming weeks we will be upgrading. No window has been allotted for this at this time, but we will be targeting the middle of January for this upgrade. Hopefully interruption of our services will be limited. That being said, we’re taking this as an opportunity to interact with our readers and take into account your suggestions and feedback.
If you’ve noticed anything you’d like to change in the site format, features or look, or have some suggestions, feel free to leave a comment below and your feedback will be taken into account. We will also be working to add new features like AIM icons, and any other extras you might like to employ in your own web presence. This may include icons for your own blog, livejournal, facebook profile, etc. We’re all about having No Reason spread like a virus throughout the web.
If you do have requests like this that require specific image dimensions, please make note of those specs, or place a link in your comment to where I can find information about it.”
So there it is. His full note can be found here. Do what must be done.
