I would love to tell you that this strip came about through days of insightful banter, laughter and creative partnership between two friends. I’d love to tell you that we pored over hundreds of ideas and scenarios and the end result is the four panels of greatness before you. Yep, I’d love to tell you all of that.

Truth be told though, this is actually a 100% true story. I swear to whatever you deem Holy, this actually happened to me over the weekend. I was caught in traffic on the highway, and there they were in all their glory. Truly it was a once-in-a-lifetime event that I will never forget witnessing, especially now that it has been immortalized forever. I also spent the day calling in the traffic tip of “clown-related slowdowns on the 401″ to various radio stations. To their credit, it took a long time to convince them I wasn’t a crackpot.

So the hunt for the new No Reason HQ continues, but in this week’s episode, something our heroes weren’t prepared for: Hope. That’s right, we saw a place last night that was not only not a complete sh*thole, but I could actually see us living in it. There were a couple of things that left us hemming an hawing a bit, so I don’t quite think it’s going to fly, but it gives us hope that there is something decent out there for us. This place made the short list, but the search continues with a renewed vigor!!

Finally, if any of our beloved comic book loving readers are Stateside, and managed to get a copy of Alan Moore’s League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: The Black Dossier, I would love to hear what you think of it. We can’t get it here in Canada (save for one store who smuggled a couple cases over the border). So far it’s getting mixed reviews, but I’m dying to hear if it’s any good or not. Let me know either in the comments, or at thewatchtower@noreasoncomics.com

Until next we meet my friends, take my advice: Pull down your pants and slide on the ice!
