Yes, it’s true. I shaved my beard.
I suppose in the normal pantheon of events, this wouldn’t be a huge deal, but this is in fact the first time in 8 years that I have been clean-shaven.
My face is freezing.
Will this new and startling look stay? Who’s to say? I’m very lazy and not having to shave three quarters of my face was a decent time saver. But apparently, I am “less intimidating” sans beard, so I guess we will see how long it lasts. I can tell you this though; I can’t wait for Jamie to get used to it. Having to remind him every day who I am is getting somewhat tiresome. Eventually I will just have a clip-on beard that I can wear around the house to avoid the confusion.
So one of The Idea Men had a great idea yesterday. He came up with the brilliant idea of lending us Season 3, Part 1 of Entourage. I have loved the first two seasons, and this one is shaping up to be anything but a disappointment. I’m about halfway through it, and already I’m scratching together pennies to be able to afford the Part 2 DVD set.
Speaking of DVD’s guess what comes out today? Yep, Transformers. I am so stoked for this DVD that I have been putting money away for the last month just to be sure I have the required amount of Cheddah to make sure that this flick finds it’s way into my hot little hands. Awesome movie.
And in other awesome news, if you missed SCOBO at the Global Village Backpackers this past Friday as part of Indie Week, fear not! They are wrapping up their “Toronto Tour” with a stop at Lee’s Palace on Saturday night. The face-melting commences at midnight!
Finally, I’m writing this shortly before we sit down to put together this week’s edition of The Watchtower, and trust me when I say it’s something that you don’t want to miss. There was a huge reveal this past week involving a one Captain America that we are going to tackle head-on. And don’t worry; this reveal in no way affects the accuracy of any “Steve Rogers Is Not Dead” t-shirts out there.
