Any way, many things and stuffs happening around the ol’HQ as we trundle on through this madcap ride we call a story.
First off, I don’t know if any of you saw it, but they released the first “official” trailer for the Iron Man movie, due out next summer. I was kind of humming and hawing about this flick, John Favreau is directing, and Robert Downey Jr. is playing Tony Stark, and thusfar the only real news we’ve had out of it has been some grainy footage from Comic-Con, and the occasional still picture of some armour. But having seen the trailer, I think it is safe to say that I am “officially” excited about this movie. It looks fast, action-packed, and like it takes Tony Stark in an interesting direction, which is a fairly good departure from his current comic incarnation.
Also, for those of you who couldn’t make it to the Fan Expo to pick up one of our sweet No Reason Comic Books, there is hope. For the first time ever, No Reason is now available in stores! Well, store for the moment, but hopefully we can pluralize sometime in the future. For now though, any of you who happen to be in the GTA should head on out to Image Collections, 181A Queen St S, in the good ol’ heart of Mississauga. Todd & Crew there have been kind enough to take some books off of our hands, and they are available there should anyone feel the need. I’ve been going to Image for probably close to 10 years now, and they always have what I’m looking for, and if by some weirdness they don’t, it usually finds its way into my hands pretty quickly.
And there is one more thing I want to bring up before I head on out to do… well, nothing. I have no life, you see. But since we have a few new faces in the crowd these days (and we extend a friendly howdy & thank ya to each and every one), I want to again ask you guys what you are listening to. I find myself once again in a musical rut, and am always looking for new bands to check out, and new records to buy, and your recommendations have paid off in spades in the past, so I turn it to you, dear friends. That is your mission. Go forth.
