<em>Sigh.</em> It’s a slow News Day, kids.
Often times, when writing these little hi-how-are-ya’s between us, the subject matter will present itself either shortly before, or as I’m writing it. Today, not so much. There just isn’t anything I’m particularly enraged about.
I suppose it was bound to happen, given how long my enragement has lasted. Eventually, I was bound to run out of things to rain my wrath down upon. But, the show must go on. Something must be written. Commas must be over-used. So, without further ado, and stretching of sentences for word-count’s sake, here are some bullet-points:
-There was a discussion last night regarding a certain type of pen that led me down the yellow-paged road to see if we could find an open Art Supply store. Did you know there is not a single one in this vast city that is open pas 7:30pm on a Monday? Maybe I am uneducated in such things, but this seems a little strange to me. I think there is some good money to be made in the opening of a late night Art Store.
-If you are ever in a bar fight, don’t use a pool cue as a weapon. It will just snap in half, and wont do much damage. Try using an ashtray to add weight to your punches instead.
-<a HREF=”http://www.nytimes.com/2007/01/28/us/28brown.html?hp&ex=1170046800&en=bb39be85a63920ce&ei=5094&partner=homepage”>James Brown still hasn’t been buried. </a> My guess is he’s giving off a whole new kind of funk now.
-Sometimes I think it would be fun to dress in a suit all the time. Then I remember how lazy I am.
See? Wasn’t that fun?
Ok, I’ll go. But before I do, it was on this day way back when that The Beatles held their now-famous rooftop concert with Billy Preston. If you have never seen footage of this, I would highly suggest finding some. In honor of this historic moment, I’d just like close out by saying ‘Thank You’ on behalf of the group, and I hope we passed the audition.
-MM
