Yeah. Seriously. I don’t know what’s wrong with that guy. All I know is that he’s killing our insurance premium.
I went to the record store the other day (yes, I still buy CDs, and Yes, I still use the term “record”) and something strange happened. There wasn’t anything I wanted to buy. Usually, I walk out with stacks of things to jam into the ol’ iPod, but recently there hasn’t been anything that excites me. The last record I bought that was really good was “Skin & Bones,” an excellent acoustic live record by the Foo Fighters.
So this, Dear Friends, is where you come in. I want to know what you are listening to. I like everything, all sizes, shapes and colours, and even if I hate it, I’ll give it a listen first. Post your recommendations here, or on the Myspace page, or by courier pigeon, whatever. I have 59.71 GB left on my iPod and I wont feel like a full-realized man until it’s been dealt with.
To close on a somewhat serious topic, I have been experiencing a lot of change recently. Jamie alluded to it in a recent post, and it has mostly to do with my “real” job. One of these changes is the departure of a good friend of mine from the company. Someone I have come to trust, respect, and care about a great deal. Her last day is today, and I know that the place is going to feel a lot lonelier without her there to share a coffee run or a laugh with.
Change is never easy, but I know she is going to kick ass in her new job, and I guess all I’m trying to say is that I’m gonna miss you, Amy. I hope I’ve been half the friend to you that you’ve been to me.
See ya when I see ya,
-MM
