So you may have noticed that there wasn’t a comic up on Friday. I am pleased to say that it is there now, and ready for you to love an enjoy, but the tale of how it go there is some kind of haggard.

See, Jamie has just recently started a new job. In leaving his old job he seemed to have forgotten that it would mean we no longer had access to the equipment at said job. It also meant we would have to join the 1990′s and get the internet at home. So we did, and yet more cables were stapled to our walls, and porn was once again at hand, and all was well.

Right up until Thursday night.

See, Thursday night, Jamie showed me the polished piece of comic gold that he had completed. It was via the most arcane of mediums, ink & paper, but it was halariously gut-busting none the less. After a quick trip to the emergency room to sew our sides back together (badump-bump), we were ready to post our genius to the intraweb. Only, scince we no longer had access to the high-grade scanner Jamie’s old job provided us, we weren’t quite sure how.

We tried staring at it.

We tried hitting it, and yelling at it.

We even tried mashing it through the computer screen in some vain hope that an unknown osmosis would absorb the comic.

No dice.

Finally, we relented and pulled out the old scanner. It’s about the size of a small buick, and hasn’t been used since Dot Matrix was the norm. After marveling at it’s non-USB interface for an hour or so, we attempted to hook it up to the computer. It was then that we realized there were no more electrical outlets left in the room (thank God we don’t pay the electric bill). So we had to stretch the powercord into another room, while stretching the interface cord to the computer, leaving the giant scanner lying in the middle of the floor.

It was officially the most haggard set-up in the history of… well, us (and that’s sayin’ something).

So we cranked over the ol’ girls engine, and lo and behold: nothing. It didn’t work, so Jamie ended up having to drive into the next town to his parent’s house to use their scanner.

So that’s why there was no comic on Friday.

Wow, that was long. Oh well, seemed simpler in my head.

Feel it,

-MM
